Curb appeal, and ready before the season.
Florida sun, salt air and summer storms are hard on the outside of a house. We keep it in shape and get it ready before hurricane season rather than during it.
The jobs the weather makes for you
Nearer the water, salt gets into fixings and hardware years before the wood gives up. Inland it is the sun and the summer downpours. Either way the fix is cheaper before the season than after it.
- Fence and gate repairs
- Deck boards and railings
- Pressure washing: drives, decks and siding
- Screen doors and window screens
- Gutter clearing before heavy rain
- Exterior paint touch-ups
- Hanging and labelling storm panels
- Post-storm cleanup and minor repairs
Outdoor and storm questions
When should I get storm prep done?
Before the season, not when a storm is named. Once a system is in the forecast every handyman in Northeast Florida is booked and the hardware stores are empty. Late spring is the sensible window.
Do you put up and take down hurricane panels?
Yes, and we will label them by opening the first time so it is quicker every time after. If a storm is already coming, call early; we prioritise by deadline and the window closes fast.
My fence survived but it is leaning. Is that a repair or a replacement?
Often a repair. A leaning run is usually a few posts rather than the whole fence. We will tell you which posts are gone and what it costs to put right, and if it genuinely needs replacing we will say that too.
Do you do pressure washing on its own?
Yes. Drives, walkways, decks, fences and siding. It is also worth doing before exterior paint touch-ups, because paint does not stick to what is already growing there.
Getting ready for storm season?
Call and we will walk the outside of the house with you and give you an upfront price.
